Our Program: Traveling Classroom Exhibits

HOW IT WORKS:
EDUCATORS PICK AN EXHIBIT THAT BEST SUITS THEIR NEEDS
WE SCHEDULE A TIME AND DISCUSS ANY NEEDS, OBJECTIVES, AND GOALS
WE SHIP THE EXHIBIT DIRECTLY TO THE SCHOOL
STUDENTS AND TEACHERS SPEND 3 TO 5 DAYS EXPLORING IN THEIR OWN MANNER WITH AUTHENTIC HISTORICAL OBJECTS AND PRIMARY SOURCE MATERIAL
WE SCHEDULE A PICKUP FOR THE EXHIBIT TO MOVE ON TO ITS NEXT DESTINATION

Support Our Efforts
Like most businesses and non-profits, COVID-19 has been particularly difficult for History in Your Hands. With most schools either functioning remotely or with strict social distancing guidelines in place, the foundational element of our program, hands-on learning and group collaboration within the classroom is at odds with most of our current guideline.
However this pandemic is not forever and we will need help supporting educators and their students in making up for the months of valuable learning that has been lost. Therefor we humbly ask that you please consider donating to our efforts so that when guidelines on educational practices loosen, we are able to get back to creating impactful learning experiences in the classrooms as we were in the days before COVID.
