Rare and Important War of 1812 Folded Wall Map, Published Two Weeks After the Outbreak of the War.

Dissected and folding pocket map on linen, showing a detailed view of the Canadian border at the outset of the War of 1812. In period roan backed covers.  30″H x 49.75″W.  All original boards, map and backing. Heavy stains along one fold, and at places in top margin, which should be easily restorable. The map was probably the earliest American map of the area where much of the fighting took place, as it was printed only two weeks after the war began. Very rare.
