(53884) - China Sea North Coast of Formosa (Taiwan) Kiirun Ko (Keelung Harbour), 648x484 mm, PRICE 450 euros

Kiirun Ko (Keelung Harbour) from the Japanese Government Plans to 1919, today Keelung.
With a view of the entrance to Kiiru Ko. London published at the Admiralty 14 february 1899 under the Superintendence of Rear Admiral Sir W. J. L. Wharton. Small corrections: 1930.

"Kiirun Ko, the principal harbor of Taiwan, is easy of access and well sheltered in all except northerly winds, which send in a heavy sea. Kiirun To (Kelung Island) is 2 1/2 miles northeastward of the entrance. The country in the vicinity of the harbor is richly wooded to the beach, and the land rises in a succession of picturesque knolls and undulating hills, fantastically piled one eabove the other, and backed by a range of lofty mountains. The coast hills are wedge shaped and nearly all are perpendicular to northwestward, sloping eastward." (*)
